During this year, we are switching to a new back-end system for domain names.
Reasons why we switch: ready for the future
Our old system has satisfactorily brought us to where we are today for more than twenty years. But in order to realize our future plans, we need to make the switch to a more modern system.
Free DNSSEC for every domain, better white-label options for our resellers, and measures for the new cybersecurity law (NIS2) are things we are eager to address.
During this year we will gradually convert all domain names to the new system. Please note that this conversion will not affect the accessibility of the domain names.
Each domain holder receives a notification email: no action required
During the conversion to the new system, a notification email may be sent to the domain name holder. This email is only sent for “general” domain extensions such as .com, .net, org and .shop (the so-called gTLDs). For country extensions such as .nl, .be, .de and .eu, this mail is not sent.
The mail is from “AutoDNS Transfer” (do-not-reply@domain-robot.org) and looks as follows:

You can safely ignore this email; there is no need to take action. We are in the background making sure that the conversion to the new system goes smoothly. As mentioned earlier, this conversion also does not affect the operation of the domain name.
Are you a reseller with us, and do you have domain names registered in your customer's name? Then your customers will also receive this e-mail. We advise you to briefly inform your customers about this so that they are not confused either.
Action needed, however, for certain “rarer” domain extensions
A small number of domain extensions may require the domain owner to take action. For example, a link in an e-mail must be clicked, or a form must be completed. We will contact you on a case-by-case basis to arrange this. Fortunately, this concerns a small number of extensions that are not popular and therefore do not occur very often.
Domain names not visible in AutoDNS
Some resellers use the AutoDNS system to manage domain names. Domain names converted to our new domain name system will not be visible in AutoDNS. However, you can view and manage the domain names through our dashboard. AutoDNS will eventually be replaced by our new system; you will receive further information about this in due time.
